Calcium Fluoride (CaF2) is widely used in visible light applications such as optical crystal, Ultraviolet (UV), Infrared (IR) and optical windows, optical lenses and thermal imagination, with a wide transmitting range of 0.13um (UV) to 10um. IR) and low refractive index. The combination of calcium fluoride with a high damage threshold and low absorption makes it an excellent material for use with Excimer lasers.
1. insoluble in water
2. Low refractive index
3. Low reflection loss
4. Widest broadband transmittance from deep UV to IR (130nm to micron)
Maximum laser durability in Excimer laser optics (157nm, 193nm, 248nm)
